About Us
Our Mission: Simple. Put hobbyists, LFS's, and other frag farmers together to buy and sell their aquarium equipment, fish, coral, and creatures all in one place. The Aquarium Classifieds enables individuals to buy and sell to each other in an open environment with greater exposure. We all want to help take the pressure off the environment by having fellow aquarists and stores offer a variety of items here at The Aquarium Classifieds from coral, coral frags, collected and raised fish, invertebrates, along with items hobbyist and vendors can offer at a good price, have grown out of, no longer need or just want to upgrade. So, browse our classified sections and enjoy the hobby that has grown generation after generation.

In 1987, I started a 125 gallon show tank and a 20 gallon hospital tank - which later turned into what's known today as a Nano tank. I could not help myself, I collected rock from Florida, Mexico, Fiji and Corals and fish from all over the globe. Yes, I had fish losses and spawnings of Tomato clowns with no way of raising fry at the time. Many interesting creatures appeared in my tanks from harmless sponges and worms to a Mantis shrimp and Hairy crabs. Through trial and error, I learned what worked and what did not for me. Some of my finned creatures that I have are a Tomato Clown, 3 Stripe Damsel, Blue Tail Damsel that I have had for over 20 years. They are three of the very first saltwater fish I purchased at a small LFS near where I lived. They are like old friends to me and Clyde (yes I name my fish) will hover in my hand when it's food time. She will even let me stroke her back when I clean the tank. In the event that I mess with her home - a toad stool leather, she pecks me in the hand as to say "Go away - this is my home". Today, I have two Reef systems in my home. A 65 Gallon Hard coral tank with LPS, SPS and Ricordia. Seven fish swim through out this mini reef gliding around in and out of the caves and crevices in the live rock living among the coral branches of this environment. My second tank a 55 gallon Soft tank with tons of Zoanthids and a couple of leathers and misc corals, houses Clyde and some of her friends. I like the colors of the Zoanthids and the variety of sizes and markings of the Palys that I have collected. I am a member of two local clubs in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Several Forum sites on the Web and enjoy sharing stories with fellow reefers in and around our area.
